The North East and North Cumbria Bone and Joint Infection Network includes a number of units that treat bone and joint infection. This group of hospitals formed a network 5 years ago, and meet to discuss and improve standards for these patients.

There are currently two Periprosthetic Infection Multi Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) that provide access to MDT discussions for clinicians across the North East and North Cumbria. These are held in Northumbria NHS trust and South Tees NHS trust.

Northumbria PJI MDT Meeting This meeting is held every Friday morning at 8:45am at the Wansbeck Hospital Bone Infection Unit. Please refer patients via Wansbeck Hospital and Bone Infection here.
